We are thrilled to introduce NAR Kollective’s exciting new Basketball Sessions, designed specifically for children aged 12 and under. One of the first in Cheshire, our club’s goal is to encourage budding basketball talent, foster teamwork, boost self-confidence, and, most importantly, ensure everyone has fun while learning and playing the game they love!
Our Approach
At NAR Kollective, we follow our own ‘Pathways into Playing’ framework, a holistic approach to children’s basketball development, guiding them to play in basketball leagues. Our sessions focus on the following key aspects:
Building Basketball Skills
We provide comprehensive training to help your children develop essential basketball skills, including dribbling, shooting, passing, and defensive techniques. Our aim is to nurture well-rounded players who can shine on the court.
Teamwork and Collaboration
Basketball is a team sport, and we emphasise the importance of working together to achieve common goals. Your young athletes will learn valuable teamwork and communication skills that extend beyond the basketball court.
Boosting Confidence
We believe that self-confidence is a critical component of success, both in sports and in life. Through positive reinforcement and personalised coaching, we help guide players to believe in themselves and their abilities.
Most importantly, we create a positive and fun environment where kids can develop their skills while enjoying the game.
Meet Coach Ben Tew
Our sessions are led by the talented and experienced professional basketball player, Ben Tew. His basketball journey began at Stoke-on-Trent College playing under the ex-NBA and Harlem Globetrotter, Shawn Jamison.
Ben has made history as the first Cheshire player to secure an American scholarship and following four years of college basketball, he returned to the UK and currently plays for the Birmingham Rockets.
With Ben’s guidance, your child will receive supreme coaching and gain valuable insights into the world of basketball.
